Background Track: "You Keep On Blessing Me" by Commissioned
(Commissioned Reunion); lead vocal: Keith Staten
Keith Staten is a member of the original Commissioned.
His nice tenor voice helped to make up Commissioned's rounded tenor sound. His lead singing makes many of their songs sound
good. He really sounds nice in his duet songs with both Mitchell Jones and Fred Hammond. Some of his singing highlights are,
"Giving My Problems To You", "Victory", "Will You Be Ready?", "Waiting To Hear From You", "Let Me Tell It", "More Than You'll Ever Know", "There's No Excuse" (and the reprise), "I Am Here", "Go Tell Somebody",
"Back In The Saddle", "You Keep On Blessing Me", and "Ordinary
Just Won't Do". He left the group in 1990 after the album State of Mind, and went solo. His solo albums are
From the Heart (1990), which features the group Witness, No Greater Love (1995), Worship In
The House [live] (1996), and Glory in the House (1999). Even though he has been separated from the group,
he has continued his close association with the group, and continued his close association with his brother-in-law and
fellow Commissioned member Fred Hammond, and his group Radical For Christ on the album, Praise In The House
(1996 - Integrity Records), as well as on Fred's album, In Case You Missed It And Then Some. Some of his album covers:
