Like Karl Reid, Mitchell Jones has been a member of
Commissioned since its inception. He has lead many Commissioned songs, either starting them off, taking part in them,
or leading them all the way. He is best known for his smooth sounding voice, and his writing some of Commissioned's greatest
hits especially in partnership with Parkes Stewart. Some of his best songs are "'Tis So Sweet", "Ordinary Just Won't Do", "No More Loneliness", "Victory", "Love You With The Rest of My
Life", "I Can't Live Without You", "I Am Here", "I'm Learning", "More Than I", "Dare To Believe", "Love Is The Way", and many more. His input
to the group makes him definetely an indisposable member of Commissioned, he also has played keyboards on Parkes Stewart's
album and also on the album Irreplaceable
Love. Look out for Mitchell Jones' first solo album with his background singers/musicians named 3rd Dimension
(3D) coming soon, entitled (Mitchell Jones & 3rd Dimension) Beyond The Veil: Final Destination. He has already
released an album from Light Records in September 2004 entitled Still Commissioned:
The Songs of Mitchell Jones. It includes some of his classic Commissioned hits, some songs from his upcoming album,
and some remixes of his classic Commissioned hits as well.

Mitchell Jones' album Still Commissioned is nice, but as I was listening to the remakes
of Commmissioned songs such as "I Am Here" and "Ordinary Just Won't Do", I couldn't help wanting to hear the vocals
of Commissioned in the background (the only member of Commissioned who appears on this album in any of the new tracks is Karl
Reid, who appears on "Dare To Believe" as a background vocalist). "Cry On" sounds nice, I like how Mitchell and his daughter,
Adrienne Jones sound on this song. It is really nice. "You Are My God" and "Breathe" are songs from Mitchell Jones' forthcoming
project with his group 3rd Dimension, entitled Beyond The Veil. "I Am Here" was a bit disappointing (I'm still caught
up on the harmony of the ORIGINAL "I Am Here" from Commissioned's album State of Mind... But that's
just my own view). Before hearing this track, I was expecting for Darrin Patterson to take the lead in the manner
that Keith Staten or Marvin Sapp did in the earlier versions of "I Am Here", but this version was different, and I was
surprised to hear Mitchell take the lead through most of this song and on "Ordinary Just Won't Do" (Wow!!). "Only What You
Do For Jesus Christ Will Last" was a surpriser, because I am used to hearing Karl's vocals on this song (I wasn't even
aware that Mitchell Jones had written this song). The first Ordinary Just Won't Do sounds nice! As I listened to the second
version, I was surprised to hear that Mitchell added a worldly touch to his music ("The Ordinary Just Won't Do, Girl"...
Mitchell should've left that OUT! The song is supposed to be a SPIRITUAL love song.
OVERALL: You will like this album if you are able to adjust yourself to a few changes to some of your favorite
Commissioned hits...and if not, at least you'll probably feel better when you switch to some of Commissioned's old hits (laugh).
Mitchell's dreadlocks have got to go... the dreadlocks are a straight-way thumbs-down....
